Jeff Schultz, Owner and Financial Advisor
Even as a child Jeff was working to get more interest on his credit union account. He likes working with people too, and no profession combines his interests quite like helping his clients meet their financial planning and retirement income goals.
In a small town people talk, and that’s something Jeff’s counting on. He’s built his business based on word of mouth, and knows you have to work hard. He also believes the client comes first. That’s why for over 20 years he’s dedicated his career to making sure the residents of Columbia County and the surrounding area have a competent source for financial information.
As a student, Jeff earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Oregon State University, and his Master of Science in personal financial planning from the College of Financial Planning.
When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Leanna, and his daughter, Olivia, as well as fishing, kayaking, going to the beach, playing with his two Labrador retrievers, woodworking, and gardening.

Janet Barrett, Director of Operations
Janet is the first person to greet everyone who walks through our door. She maintains the client database, filing system and spreadsheets, submits applications and service requests and makes sure the office runs smoothly.
Janet has been with SFS right after it was established in 2013, she truly cares for our clients and always goes above and beyond to make sure they are taken care of. She is a very dedicated employee, rarely ever misses a day and is one of our offices go to people. When Janet isn’t at the office she enjoys working on D.I.Y projects around her house, spending time with family and friends, and playing with her dogs.

Michael Leipzig, Medicare Insurance Specialist
Michael is our newest team member at SFS and we are excited to have him as our Medicare Insurance Specialist who helps people better understand their Medicare options. Michael also assists our clients with their Schwab accounts.
Michael loves the outdoors and is always up for an adventure. On the weekends he enjoys exploring and hiking new trails around the Pacfic NW.

Mike Hollomon, Long Term Care Specialist
Mike helps people understand their options when it comes to long term care. He has been a friendly face around the office since the doors opened back in 2013, and has worked with Jeff for over 20 years. In his free time he loves driving to the coast with his wife of over 50 years, Lynne. Mike has a great appreciation for gardening and the outdoors. He enjoys spending his free time with family and friends at the beach, or up in the beautiful mountains.
Shayla Holmes, Marketing Manager
Shayla oversees all marketing materials and social media content for SFS. She has a passion for organizing and planning events, such as our annual Client Appreciation Pizza Day, Pumpkin Pie Day Giveaway in the Fall, and our Client Christmas party.
Shayla has a heart for serving, and volunteering in Columbia County where she was raised. Shayla is a part-time employee so when you don’t see her in the office she is spending time with her husband, Andrew, and their two boys, playing board games, watching Disney movies, and keeping up with extra sporting activities.
